About Me

What I do & my approach

Welcome! I’m Imara Blume, I specialize in comprehensive medication management for anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and mood disorders. I am committed to being there for my clients every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from the struggles, heal from the pain, and overcome barriers that prevent you from reaching your fullest potential. I offer evidence-based care through medication, natural supplementation, and other appropriate treatment options. Every person is unique; I tailor treatment so you can achieve the most successful outcomes-for now and the future.

I offer flexible scheduling, including extended hours beyond the traditional workday, to better fit your needs and support consistent follow-through with care. For Maine clients, I provide services via telehealth. Telepsychiatry services remove barriers that often make mental health care feel out of reach. With me, care is never rushed. Every session is an opportunity to truly understand your experiences and needs, ensuring you feel heard and supported. With a focus on building trust and providing thoughtful mental health care, I’m here to guide you at a pace that feels right for you.

Functional & Integrative Approach

I offer functional and integrative medicine for medication management, focusing on the connection between mind, body, and lifestyle. Our approach goes beyond just treating symptoms—we work with you to uncover the root causes of mental health challenges and create a treatment plan that supports your whole self. Each of the following areas can significantly impact mood stability, focus, anxiety levels, and depressive symptoms:

  • Hormones (thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, testosterone)

  • Nutrient levels (iron, B12, folate, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc)

  • Sleep & circadian rhythm

  • Gut health & inflammation

  • Life stress & burnout

  • Medication side effects and interactions

When we treat the root contributors, clients often experience better stability, fewer side effects, and need fewer medications at lower doses.

Why I do this work

Advocacy has shaped everything I do. I’m passionate about supporting you with honest education, breaking down mental-health stigma, and helping you feel empowered to choose what’s best for you. I strive to create a space of unwavering acceptance and affirmation. I proudly welcome the LGBTQ+ community and people of all races, ensuring that every individual is met with compassion, understanding, and culturally competent care. Here, you don’t have to justify who you are—your identity is seen, respected, and celebrated as part of your healing journey.
