About Me
What to expect from working with me
Hi there, I’m glad you’re here. I specialize in using EMDR to help adults heal from trauma. I’m a EMDR Certified Therapist™ through EMDRIA.™ This process included completing over 100-hours of advanced EMDR training, education, and supervision.
My role is to create a trusting space where learning, change, and growth can occur. We’ll work together to explore your story and make a plan for your healing journey. My goal is to help you live the life you want without the past getting in the way.
I have a relaxed and casual style. I love to use humor, when appropriate, and I definitely want to see photos of your pets/babies/plants/art etc. We are here to do really hard work AND I want to get to know you as a whole person.
You can learn more about EMDR, my training, and background at my website.
Power and Therapy
I strive to center my client’s agency throughout the therapeutic process and that includes how and when we discuss politics, power, identities, and our own relationship dynamics. I sincerely believe that systemic oppression and power structures impact our individual healing journeys. The therapeutic space is not immune to the power dynamics of the world around us. I believe there is healing in naming this reality. I’ll let you set the pace as I welcome these conversations into our therapeutic relationship.
