About Ali

About Me

I'm a relational and somatic psychotherapist and end-of-life doula. My background in community mental health, sexual assault advocacy, and end-of-life care has shaped my understanding of suffering, connection, and what it means to be human.

My work is grounded in a few core beliefs: that our experiences cannot be separated from the relationships and social conditions that shape our lives; that the ways we've learned to survive deserve curiosity and compassion; and that our capacity for grief is inseparable from our capacity to feel deeply and fully alive.

I draw from psychodynamic, relational, somatic, and feminist therapies, bringing warmth, curiosity, and humor to our work together.

About You

Perhaps you're navigating grief, trauma, or a significant life transition. Maybe you're questioning old patterns, exploring your identity, or feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, or the people around you. You might be carrying feelings you've never quite had the space to explore, or wondering what life could look like if you didn't have to hold so much of yourself back.

I particularly enjoy working with queer and neurodivergent folks, people exploring their relationships with their bodies, and those navigating questions of identity, belonging, and self-worth.

You don't need to arrive with a clear idea of what needs to change. We can begin wherever you are.

About Our Work Together

I see therapy as a place to become more curious about ourselves and the lives we've lived. Our work is relational and collaborative, shaped by your experiences, needs, and hopes.

Together, we might explore the stories you've come to believe about yourself, notice what your body has been holding, or make space for feelings that haven't always felt welcome. I'm interested in understanding not only what's painful, but also what brings you pleasure, connection, and a sense of possibility.

I believe that making room for our heartache is also a way of making room for our aliveness. My hope is that our work helps you know yourself more deeply and find greater freedom in how you relate to yourself and the world around you.

"Grief is necessary to the vitality of the soul." –Francis Weller
